read .res files?

Would like to read from the game resources pertaining to the main menu. Namely the main menu buttons and logo. I want raw copies of those images without the overlaid background image which exists on the screen shot I made.

Any way to read .res files?

Don't know off the top of my head. I feel like I've come across them at some point... Don't have access to Nuclear Dawn files right now so can't check.
